Discomforts in Pregnancy

I love Essential oils and holistic ways of healing. These are wonderful if you are into this kind of thing! I will be adding more as I learn more.

Headaches/dizziness

  1. One drop Frankincense pressed firmly on roof of mouth with thumb for 30-60 seconds
  2. Acupressure
  3. Lots of water and a veggie, fruit and protein packed smoothie first thing in the morning
  4. Peppermint oil on temples; if you are comfortable using this oil during pregnancy
  5. Smelling citrus oils and applying them to temples
  6. Ice water in the morning as soon as you wake up
  7. 4tbsp kombucha, 2 tbsp cherry tart, and 1 tbsp flax seed drink it in the morning (also helps with energy)
Muscle Cramps
  1. Usually caused by deficiency of magnesium. Health food stores have pure magnesium oil, it is very affordable. Simply spray on bottom of feet and on the muscle that is cramping. Magnesium is best assimilated by the body when used topically.
Constipation
  1. Lemon oil in 8 oz warm water~ 1-2 drops
  2. bergamot & ginger oil rubbed on belly
  3. Apple Juice
Depression 
  1. 1 drop of frankincense under the tongue
  2. Walking barefoot outdoors in the sunshine
Sciatic nerve pain
  1. pan away; deep relief; relaxing touch (or similar) mixed with lemongrass, frankincense, and helichrysum and rubbed onto painful areas.
Heartburn
  1. Peppermint or Ginger oil diluted 1:6 with a carrier oil (fractionated coconut oil), or 1 drop in a couple ounces of water.
Fatigue
  1. Peppermint and Orange oil. One drop of each in the palm of your hand, rub hands together, inhale deeply then massage the rest onto the ears and back of the neck.
Morning Sickness
  1. Magnesium
  2. Protein before bedtime
  3. Ginger and Peppermint rubbed on ears
Backache
  1. Pan away; deep relief; relaxing touch (or similar) massaged onto painful areas.
Group B Strep
  1. Risk factors are urinary track infections. Put 4 drops each lemon, oregano, tea tree, ProShield (Ameo oil blend) in a capsule. Take one capsule 3x daily for 1 week and additionally when needed. (can use this 1 week before you go in for Group B Strep testing and it might help nip it in the bud beforehand).
Lack of Sleep (help to get you to sleep)
  1. Magnesium Powder- Natural Vitality, Natural Calm (in a drink 30 min before bed)
  2. Epsom salt bath
  3. Hypnosis Tracks- "hypnobirthing" app (pink m on the logo)
  4. Meditation Music- yoga, tai-chi, reiki, Tibetan healing (youtube- type "healing music" in search)
  5. Calcium lactate, Calm magnesium citrate, and an Omega together about 30 min before bed and you can be out for the count
  6. Melatonin
  7. Calms Forte
  8. Doterra Serenity oil blend
  9. Read Scriptures
  10. Young Living Peace and Calming oil blend
  11. Lavender- any Therapeutic grade Oil that you love and enjoy!
